Eye diseases are structural abnormalities that can lead to limitations and various vision problems due to factors such as use or genetics. Any type of eye disease that occurs in the eyelids, cornea, tear ducts, lens or nerve tissue is called an eye disease.
At Letoon Special Hospital, the Department of Ophthalmology performs two main tasks: medical and surgical. On average, about 850 outpatient visits and nearly 100 surgical procedures are performed at our hospital each month. In addition, outpatient laser procedures are also performed. All of these procedures are carried out with renewed devices and software that progress in parallel with the progress.

- Correcting astigmatism, myopia, and hyperopia by inserting lenses produced with Diffractive or EDOF technology into the eye, leading to a glasses-free life at far, intermediate, and near distances.
- Treating the superficial appearance of the eye (such as pterygium, etc.).
- Performing glaucoma surgery. Performing minimally invasive trabeculotomy and/or trabeculectomy, seton surgery, viscocanalostomy, deep sclerectomy applications, etc.
- Performing pediatric strabismus, muscle surgery, adult paralytic and cosmetic strabismus treatment.

Performing other minor ophthalmic surgeries is also possible.
- On average, our hospital performs eye surgeries on about 100 patients per month. Of these patients, approximately 50 undergo cataract surgery, 20 undergo premium lens replacement, 10 undergo vitreoretinal surgery, and the remaining patients undergo oculoplastic and other surgical procedures.
